The Nudge Framework in practice
The Nudge Framework is the name for Nudova’s honest defaults. This page describes what shoppers actually see on each screen.
Product listing (PLP)
Section titled “Product listing (PLP)”On category and collection pages, product cards show a low-stock line (“Only N left”) when inventory for that variant is genuinely low. Sold-out pieces stay visible with a sold-out state — they are not hidden to create false urgency. One-of-one collections can show a short note that each piece is unique and leaves the collection when sold.
Product page (PDP)
Section titled “Product page (PDP)”The selected variant drives stock messaging: a low-stock badge when only a few remain, sold-out variants shown disabled, and one-of-one pieces marked claimed when gone. Back-in-stock capture is offered on unavailable variants when the store has it enabled — it records interest; it does not fake availability.
Discovery rails draw from the live catalog, not fabricated counts.
Lines respect real availability: quantity steppers cap at what’s left, with a calm inline note when the cart adjusts down. Sold-out lines stay on screen, are excluded from the total, and offer move-to-wishlist — they are not silently dropped. A free-delivery progress note tracks the in-stock subtotal against your store’s threshold; shipping is shown as calculated at checkout, not guessed.
Checkout
Section titled “Checkout”When checkout stock hold is enabled (the default), entering checkout reserves items and shows a countdown tied to the reservation’s actual expiry — not a resettable timer. Staff see the same hold under Inventory → Reservations in the admin app. Stock counts in admin must reflect real inventory for scarcity messaging anywhere on the storefront to stay truthful.
Thank-you
Section titled “Thank-you”After payment, the thank-you page may show a one-time add-on offer. The decline action (“No thanks”) is always visible and honestly worded; on cash-on-delivery orders it is the more prominent action. Accepting adds to the existing order — there is no second checkout.
