Add-ons overview
An add-on is an optional feature sold on top of exactly one parent domain. It reacts to its parent’s activity — it never the other way round: the parent domain has no idea whether an add-on is installed, and behaves identically with or without one. Installing an add-on never changes its parent’s behaviour; it only adds new behaviour that listens in.

How an add-on is scoped
Section titled “How an add-on is scoped”- It declares exactly one parent domain, and refuses to start if that parent isn’t installed.
- Its API mounts underneath its parent’s API prefix (Blog Autopilot’s endpoints sit under Blog’s).
- Its only coupling to the parent is by subscribing to the parent’s published events — the parent emits regardless of whether anyone is listening.
- Removing the add-on removes its menu section, routes and API — the parent domain is untouched.
